Starting Your Website
Last Updated: March 2, 2014
If you have been thinking about creating your website for some time now but haven't done so for any number of reasons, your time may have arrived.

We know that hiring your own web developer can be very expensive, time consuming, and frustrating. Paying someone $75 an hour for 40-50 hours of work, just to get your website up and running, may not be feasible or economical these days.

Fortunately, with the growth of the internet, several opportunities have been created out there to develop your very own website on your own! These do-it-yourself website programs can be just as effective because they give you the power to control your content and your constant need to keep your website fresh and dynamic. We realize that there are plenty of do-it-yourself websites and programs out there, but which ones really do work?

We decided to review several build-it-yourself website programs to determine which one is ultimately the best choice. Our key criteria would be: ease of use, design and looks, and content control.

After spending several months testing and trying five different do-it-yourself programs, we determined that though some of the web development programs out there are very good, we found one - and only one - that exceeded our expectations with generating your very own, good looking website.

Our criteria were based on the following:

  • Ease of Use - only basic computer skills needed
  • Design and Looks - Does is provide great design and look great?
  • Content Control - the ability to customize your site to your needs

"The best do-it-yourself website design program..."

The Site Build It (SBI) program was simply the most effective do-it-yourself web development program out there right now.

We took an extensive look at several programs and without a doubt, this one topped them all. Even someone with little internet experience can pick this up and start developing great-looking websites within minutes. We found the program so easy, even my grandmother can create her own site! Yes, that's how simple it is!

But don't let the easy part fool you, Built It Site Sell is also a very comprehensive software package that is powerful enough to give you the look and feel you want in your site, while providing you maximum control of your content.

Uploading pictures, graphics, videos, text and headlines, sub headlines is a snap with Build It Site Sell when compared to other programs we looked at.

We found Site Build It really considers what the website owner might actually be interested in monetizing his or her website. Thus, integrating Google Ads and affiliate links are easy to do.

The only downside is that it's not really the best choice for starting a blog. For that, it's recommended that you use a self-hosted WordPress blog. The Blog Starter has a good tutorial on how to set this up.

If you have been thinking about getting your site off the ground, Build It Site Sell offers a proven and easy to use method of creating your own website. It also includes the price of hosting the website too, which we found very convenient. Typically hosting companies only include web hosting, and nothing else.

In addition, we also sent off a quick email question about development and received a quick response, which we thought was essential for those of us who would have a question or two.

The only downside is that there is so much information on the company's website itself, that one may not be sure where to begin. However, if you can get past all the information and sign up then you shouldn't have a problem at all. Besides, more information is better than none, right?

The Verdict: Build It Site Sell is the most comprehensive do-it-yourself program out there on the market today.
